We have many years of experience of birding, mainly in Southern Thailand. We are also knowledgeable about butterflies, insects, snakes, lizards and mammals. In fact, if it moves, we photograph it, identify and publish it on our sister website www.PhuketNatureTours.com.
Punjapa Phetsri aka Games, our chief tour leader, has passed a six month course in Chulalongkorn University to gain her Tourist Authority of Thailand guide license. She has traveled throughout Thailand both taking tours and on personal field trips. She is based in Phuket and knows all the local birding areas and birds.
Games originally comes from Surin province in Northeast Thailand. She moved down south in 2005, starting work at an internet cafe to improve her English. After that she started up a tour agency business before gaining her guide license. Games now spends over 200 days a year in the field guiding all over Thailand.
Ian does not work in Thailand but is a close friend of the company and has vast experience as a birder in Phuket and Thailand having seen and photographed over 190 species on the island and 650 species in Thailand. Ian is always welcome to join us on our tours as he knows all the local birds by sight and call. His knowledge of butterflies, reptiles and mammals often comes in use too.
